This turned out ok, but we had blocked the BBQ for some work on the house, so we did it on a grill pan instead of a real grill. Found the recipe for the pork here http://bitzngiggles.com/lemon-basil-grilled-pork-chops/. The biscuits are Pillsbury grands and the green beans are Del Monte canned. This one was easy and took a little less than an hour start to finish…
Start by chopping about 1/2 C of fresh basil leaves. Slice a lemon is half and juice half of it (about 1 1/2 tbsp). Mince 2 tbsp garlic. Mix together basil, garlic, lemon juice, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4-1/2 tsp pepper. Spread this over both sides of each pork chop and let sit 20 minutes.
While that is marinating, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay out the biscuits.
Once the 20 minutes are up, heat your grill pan over medium high heat. Once hot, place the pork chops on the grill pan and let it start cooking for about 6 minutes per side (for 1″ thrice pork chops). Put the biscuits in the oven right after you start the pork and cook for about 13-16 minutes.
Drain a can of green beans, and put in a small pot. When the pork is done, remove from heat and set aside to rest for 5 minutes. Turn on the heat for the green beans to low and add about 2 tbsp of butter. Stir till heated through and butter is melted (about 5 minutes).
Remember to take out the. Us hits when they are done. Serve up the pork with green beans and biscuits as side dishes. Enjoy!
