Preheat the oven to hi broil. Then start by browning your meat over medium high heat. While that is browning, rinse and cut your broccoli into florets. Stir the meat as needed so it doesn’t burn.
Put that broccoli into a Tupperware steamer with a little water and a couple tbsp of butter, then set aside. Stir the meat again. Rinse your cutting board and dice about 1/2 a white onion. I already had some cheese shredded, but if you don’t, either shred some or slice it (whatever you prefer).
Once the meat is cooked through, drain it, then return it to the pan. Pour 1 can of man which over the meat, stir to combine, heat over low heat, and stir sporadically.
While that is heating, start the microwave for about 2 1/2 – 3 minutes depending on the amount of broccoli you have. Add 2 buns, open faces, onto the rack in your oven. Keep a close eye because you don’t want to burn them. Once well toasted to your liking, remove the buns and build your sloppy joes.
Top your bottom bun with some diced onion, then sloppy joe mix, then cheese, and top with your top bun. I like mine plain, so the picture is just sloppy joe and bun. Spoon some broccoli on the side and enjoy!
